  Kristen Barron-Geubtner

Kristen is a highly respected Guidance Counselor in Atlantic County NJ. She is an extremely caring, kind, and empathetic person.  But Kristen also has a very instinctual business mind.  She understands how to push the boundaries of compassion within the confines of reality, like very few people can.  Finally, she is just so easy and fun to be around.

Blaine Geubtner and his Eagle Scout Project

We raised an Eagle Scout, the highest rank in Boy Scouts.

Funny story: early in his tenure with the Boy Scouts, Blaine told an Aunt of his, "if I become an Eagle Scout, I can get all D's in school and still get into college."   

Blaine built two Little Libraries which we put on the bike path in Northfield NJ. We were blown away by the response. It really is neat to see how often they are being used by children and adults. Blaine is attending West Chester University and studying music education and performance.

Anna Geubtner Holding Her Trophy

Anna, our oldest daughter, is a two-time doubles tennis champion in the Cape Atlantic League. We were so pleased with the friends she made on this team.  The coaches, and the sport, helped build her character, taught her discipline and fostered good sportsmanship and teamwork.

We are proud of her accomplishments even though she often used her status to get out of chores. For a while when we would ask Anna to empty the dishwasher, she would throw up her hands and say, “but I am a CAL Champion!”

Though this was annoying, I gave her very high marks for the humor.

Sage Geubtner Out in a Field

I just love this cute picture of Sage.  It happened to be just the two of us taking a quick hike this day on a really nice camping trip.  We do try to break away from normal routines and enjoy some quality time together.

Although Sage is crazy in the best of ways and her voice is booming, powerful and bold, she has a steady, quiet confidence which is so comforting to be around.  If you put together Idina Menzel and Kate McKinnon, Sage is who you would get.
